Case Study Interview Examples and Questions
In the social sciences, the term case study refers to both a method of analysis and a specific research design for examining a problem, both of which can be used to generalize findings across populations. This tab focuses on the latter--how to design and organize a research paper that analyzes a specific case. A case study research paper usually examines a single subject of analysis, but case study papers can also be designed as a comparative investigation that shows relationships between two or more subjects. The methods used to study a case can rest within a quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method investigative paradigm.

Toward the end of , the general feeling on the floor was that the QA system was effective and the quality of work in the department was improving. The metrics, however, were not improving. This year-end analysis showed that there was a need to modify the QA system; the established system was no longer achieving effective results. This case study covers the transformation that was undertaken to realign the QA system to the changing business needs — enacting more proactive initiatives in preparation for post-recession growth. Although in some ways this is a typical Lean Six Sigma project, team members used logical thinking process LTP tools, which are based on the theory of constraints TOC philosophy, to address the QA system.
